Digital Plattform sells custom business systems the way you build a modular house: hundreds of pre-built functions — project management, finance, reporting, scheduling, CRM, communication, AI and automation — assembled into a system shaped around each customer, which they then own outright.

The product itself lives at app.digitalplattform.se: a React application built on Ant Design, with Redux for client state and Apollo Client talking to a GraphQL API on Node.js/Express. Because one codebase serves many customer configurations, most feature work is really about composition — making a module configurable enough to drop into the next customer's system without a fork.

It integrates with the tools Swedish businesses actually run on: Microsoft Business Central, Visma, Klarna, Swish, Google Drive, Meta, LinkedIn, SMHI and OpenAI. The public marketing site at digitalplattform.se is a separate WordPress/Elementor build that I also maintain.

My role

Full-stack developer with ownership across frontend, backend and deployment.

  • Design and ship features end-to-end: GraphQL schema and resolvers through to the React UI
  • Keep shared modules configurable so new customer systems reuse rather than fork them
  • Build and maintain third-party integrations against external Swedish business systems
  • Own the deployment and DevOps pipeline, and maintain the WordPress marketing site
  • Work asynchronously with a remote Swedish team on written specs and tight feedback loops

Challenges & solutions

One codebase, many customer systems. The temptation with bespoke work is to fork per customer, which multiplies the maintenance forever. Pushing variation into configuration — and only adding a config knob when a second customer genuinely needs it — kept the shared core improving for everyone.

Technical debt as a product feature. The selling point is that customer systems stay modern years later, so refactoring is not a side quest here — it is scheduled work, and every general improvement has to land without breaking any live customer configuration.
